Leak Locaters, LLC strives for accuracy in our leak detection services and we endeavor to provide a satisfactory experience.

Leak detection is not a perfect science, and several factors may impact the service provided. Therefore, it is important that you, the customer, acknowledge and agree to the following Guarantee, disclaimers, and conditions prior to the commencement of leak detection services.

Accuracy: Certain existing conditions may impact the accuracy of a leak detection, including by not limited to excessive road noise, heavy rain, reverberation of sounds through tree roots, and even rocks or underground obstructions that may be near the leak location. Please also note that water lines might have multiple leaks, and additional leaks may not be detectable until the first, primary, or largest (as the case may be) leak is repaired.

Four-Foot Accuracy Guarantee:

1. Leak Locaters guarantees that a leak will be present within two (2) feet of the marked location.

2. Before declaring a missed or inaccurate detection, excavation must be concluded within 2 feet of each direction of the blue or white paint and/or flag markings, to a minimum depth of four (4) feet.

3. Please contact Leak Locaters as soon as a missed or inaccurate detection is assumed.

a.If no current or former leak is present within a four-foot diameter, centered on the marked location, then Leak Locaters will perform a second detection at no additional charge right then and there.

b.If Leak Locaters returns to a claimed missed detection and the leak is pinpointed again within the 4-foot radius of the guarantee, another 2-hour minimum call-out fee will be charged.

c.We will attempt to locate a missed detection, however, no discounts or refunds are provided for missed or inaccurate detections. Leak Locaters is not responsible for excavation costs or other repairs that may result out of a missed detection.

Leak Locaters will not be responsible for any repair completed by others and accepts no liability, financial or otherwise, for any consequential losses arising from the inaccurate location of leaks in excess of the fee paid.

Plumbing System Condition: Leak Locaters employs means and methods deemed safe and compatible with standard US plumbing fixtures and systems in good repair. Collateral or unavoidable damage may occur to a plumbing system that is deteriorated, in disrepair, or CPVC or Polyethylene pipe. Leak Locaters will not repair or replace plumbing or adjacent systems/structures such as valves, fixtures, or pipes that may malfunction or break during or after testing. Please advise the technician prior to service if you believe pipe breakage may be a concern.

Fees: Fees for service are non-refundable and may vary from time to time without notice. The fees for service may be provided digitally, via web, or in writing prior to service. The fees published in any of these manners at the time of execution of this agreement will be considered the prevailing rates applicable to this service visit. Rates are honored for a maximum of seven (7) days. Additional fees may apply for excess time or additional required resources.
